 Sri Lankan Villages are very different from their European counterparts with their clusters of houses scattered everywhere tucked away in a garden surround by a screen of wooden pillars or bamboo. 
      
    In the village a bus stop identifiable by its sign with the symbol Of an ancient vehicle and a presence of one or more shops which not only act as supply centers but also as places to meet and do business.
    
    The grocery shop where villagers can obtain betel leaves to chew tea and biscuits some bakery products ,coconut oil for cooking and kerosene for lamps. Everything bought in small quantities desire to come back the next day for latest gossip. The news paper is the pivot  of social intercourse, customers go over the births ,marriages and deaths. 
    
    In this context you will have a chance to gain in depth knowledge of traditional rural life with its traditions and customs of its people and their day to day life and many activities of the people with a bullock cart ride, canoe ride on the near by lake and walk through rice fields ,banana plantations and home gardens of tropical fruits and vegetables grown for their consumption.
    
    During the village tour you will be amazed by those things and this is an ideal opportunity to encounter the real rural life, their culture and true hospitality.
    
    The village life is laid back unlike the busy urban atmosphere with cool breeze observing scenic green environment whilst passing through lush vegetation and lined with mud paths surrounded by jungles with different sounds of endemic birds.
    
    On the arrival to the village tour you will be welcomed by locals with traditional greeting “Ayubowan” wishing you a “ long healthy life”. Here in the village you will visit to a  traditional  Black Smith’s workshop where good quality products are made for the agricultural purpose .There is an unique opportunity here to participate for cookery demonstration with village ladies and finally you will be invited to partake prepared meal.
